π¬Connecting Twilio
Learn how to connect your Twilio account to Highlightcards and send SMS to your customers.
To connect Twilio, you first need to retrieve your Account SID, Auth Token, and ensure you have an active Twilio phone number.
Purchase a Phone Number
Make sure your Twilio account has an active phone number:
Log in to your Twilio dashboard.
Go to Phone Numbers β Manage β Buy a Number.
Purchase a number that supports SMS.
This will be used to send messages from Highlightcards.
Log In to Twilio
Go to your main Twilio Dashboard.
You will see:
Account SID
Auth Token
These are required for the Highlightcards integration.
Copy Your Credentials
Copy both:
Account SID
Auth Token
You will paste them into Highlightcards in the next steps.

Add Twilio to Highlightcards
Highlightcards > Left-Hand Menu > Account Settings > Services
Follow the above-mentioned workflow to land on the Services tab.
In the Twilio box, click Connect Account.
A form will appear asking for:
Account SID
Auth Token
Phone Number (the Twilio number you purchased)
Copy and paste your Twilio details into the corresponding fields.
Click Connect.
If everything is correct, the Twilio connection will be added successfully.

Send a Test SMS
After connecting, you will see a Send Test Message button.
Enter your phone number.
Click Send Test Message.
Check your device to confirm delivery.
If the test SMS arrives, your Twilio setup is active.
Your Twilio integration is now complete.
